Stewardship conference

On Thursday, Feb. 5, the Santa Fe Agri-Leaders held their annual Ag Stewardship conference at the Concordia Community Center. The event featured three speakers and had a crowd of approximately 100 guests. Santa Fe and Concordia FFA members helped serve the meal, which was catered by Plow Boys BBQ. Multiple closures scheduled on I-70, I-670

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close eastbound and westbound Interstate 70 between Routes AA/ BB (Exit 24 in Grain Valley) and Routes F/H (Exit 28 in Oak Grove) on Saturday, Feb. 14 at approximately 9 p.m., for the demolition of the Lefholz Rd. bridge over I-70 at mile marker 26. Access to the bridge will also close on Saturday, Feb. 14 at approximately 9 p.m.

Ag Stewardship Conference

On Thursday, Feb. 5, the Santa Fe Agri-Leaders held their annual Ag Stewardship conference in Concordia. PAT Valentine’s Dance

On Saturday, Feb. 7, the Santa Fe Parents as Teachers held a Valentine’s Family Dance at Santa Fe Elementary school. The event included snacks, music, dancing, coloring pages, books for storytime and various games and activities. SF boys battle Cougars, Tigers in conference action

The Santa Fe boys played in Cougar country on the 6th of February at Crest Ridge on Court Warming night. The Cougars are 18 and 6 and fresh off of a big win over Higginsville the game prior. The ball was tipped and in 23 seconds Ethan Finkeldei let one fly from the corner, splashing it home for a 3-0 Chiefs lead. The Cougars answered back soon and with the full court press they ran the score to a 12-3 advantage. Finkeldei hit down low for 12-5, CRHS added a free throw, and then freshman Brayden Livingston hit a corner three making it 13-8 at 3:30. Another three was delivered by Finkeldei at 1:22 however the Cougars stretched their lead to 26-11 after one. Finkeldei would pace the Chiefs with 11 in the contest, getting 8 in the 1st quarter.
