The Lexington Minutewomen Softball Team not only had one of the best Softball seasons in school history, but they also had 7 of their players who were named to the All State Academic Team.

The Lexington High School Girls and Boys Track Teams competed in the Lathrop Invitational Meet a week ago Tuesday, and the Girls placed fourth, and the Boys finished fifth in the Team Standings. Following are the names and the places of the Lexington athletes who finished in the top 10 in their individual event, as well as the time of those who placed first or second: LEXINGTON GIRLS 400 Meter Dash: Zoey Earnest 4th 800 Meter Run: Tessa Lovell 2nd (2:41) 1600 Meter Run: Ellie Lichte 1st (5:16), Phoebe Engelbrecht 2nd (5:39) 3200 Meter Run: Lichte 1st (11:31), Addison Smith 2nd (11:36) 100 Meter Hurdles: Kai Sheperd 5th 4x100 Relay: Sheperd, Brooke Dye, Camryn Bennett, Earnest 4th 4x400 Relay: Engelbrecht, Lovell, Natalie Adkins, Earnest 4th Relay: Lovell, Engelbrecht, Smith, Lichte 1st (10:09)

The Lexington Minutemen Baseball Team played well overall, but the Richmond Spartans had two big innings and came away with a 6 to 1 win in the Conference opener for both teams, a week ago Tuesday in Richmond.

The Lexington High School Boys and Girls Track teams opened their season at the Carrollton Early Bird Combo Meet that was held this past Thursday at Carrollton High School.
