Minutewomen win one, drop two in North Platte Tournament
The Lexington Minutewomen Girls Softball Team opened the season. as they have for many years, in the always tough North Platte Tournament, that was played in Dearborn last Saturday.. Lexington dropped their first two games in the tournament to Lone Jack and North Platte, but then bounced back, scoring 13 runs on 12 hits, in a win over East Buchanan.
Minutewomen volleyball team plays three in home Jamboree
The Lexington Minutewomen Girls Volleyball team squared off against Richmond, Sweet Springs and Wellington- Napoleon in the pre season Volleyball Jamboree, that was played a week ago Tuesday in the Lexington High School Gymnasium.
Coach Wolken receives first Beyond the Game Award
It was announced at last week’s Meet the Minutemen, that Lexington High School Girls Tennis Coach Rodney Wolken has been named as the first recipient of the Lexington All Sports Booster Club’s “Beyond the Game Award.”
Minutemen drop season opening game to Lone Jack
The Lexington Minutemen Football Team fell behind early, and although they did some things very well during the course of the game, they could not get over the hump, and they fell to the Lone Jack Mules 27 to 6 in their season opening game last Friday night at Gil Rector Stadium.

Meet the Minutemen tomorrow, home football game on Friday
The annual Meet the Minutemen will be held tomorrow evening at 6 pm at Gil Rector Stadium. All Fall season High and Middle School Athletic Teams, along with Cheerleaders, Band, Flag and Dance Team members, will all be introduced.
Minutemen scrimmage with two teams in Carrollton Jamboree
The Lexington Minutemen Football Team had a chance to assess how they had progressed so far, as they scrimmaged against both the Carrollton Trojans, and the Penney (Hamilton) Hornets, in a pre season Jamboree that was played in Carrollton last Friday evening.
Cross Country teams to open season with night run
The Lexington Boys and Girls Cross Country teams are scheduled to open the 2026 season with the annual 2 Mile Glow Run that will be held during the evening hours on the streets of Grain Valley on Tuesday, September 1. The annual Battle of Lexington Invitational Meet will be held on Saturday, October 10, on the Lexington High School course.
