Meet the Minutemen tomorrow, home football game on Friday
The annual Meet the Minutemen will be held tomorrow evening at 6 pm at Gil Rector Stadium. All Fall season High and Middle School Athletic Teams, along with Cheerleaders, Band, Flag and Dance Team members, will all be introduced.

Minutemen scrimmage with two teams in Carrollton Jamboree
The Lexington Minutemen Football Team had a chance to assess how they had progressed so far, as they scrimmaged against both the Carrollton Trojans, and the Penney (Hamilton) Hornets, in a pre season Jamboree that was played in Carrollton last Friday evening.

Cross Country teams to open season with night run
The Lexington Boys and Girls Cross Country teams are scheduled to open the 2026 season with the annual 2 Mile Glow Run that will be held during the evening hours on the streets of Grain Valley on Tuesday, September 1. The annual Battle of Lexington Invitational Meet will be held on Saturday, October 10, on the Lexington High School course.

Softball girls open at North Platte, Clinton first home game
The Lexington Minutewomen Girls Softball Team will open the 2026 season on the road on Saturday, August 29 in the always very challenging North Platte Tournament in Dearborn, and they will then have their home opener, as they will face the Clinton Lady Cardinals here on Monday, August 31. The Girls will play in a Jamboree this Saturday in Carrollton.

Minutemen football to open here Aug. 28 with Lone Jack
The Lexington Minutemen Football Team will officially open the 2026 season here, a week from Friday, as they will face the Lone Jack Mules with a 7 pm kickoff at Gil Rector Stadium.

Volleyball Jamboree here next week
Lexington High School will be the site of a 4 team Volleyball Jamboree, that will be held next Tuesday in the High School Gymnasium. Lexington, Wellington Napoleon, Sweet Springs, and Richmond will be the teams that will compete in the Jamboree. The season will officially open on August 31, as the Minutewomen will travel to Carrollton for an MRVC East Conference dual match, with their first home match on September 2 with Sweet Springs.
