Hazel Hill Community Club met on March 12 at Thomas Hall at 1 p.m. Mary Ellen Kitchen, and Lolly Schmidt were the hostesses. Other members attending were: Audrey Campbell, Anna Mae Closterman, Lois Graf, Cathy Rogge, Mary Salyer, Diane Schmidt, and Lois Schmidt.

On March 30, the Santa Fe students in the 8th grade Exploratory Ag class visited Blind Pony Hatchery in Sweet Springs.

Waverly Police Department receives grant from MFA Oil Foundation
The Waverly Police Department is proud to announce it has been awarded a $1,200 grant from the MFA Oil Foundation to support the development of a local emergency disaster and mass casualty response trailer. The funding will be used to purchase critical supplies that will be housed within the trailer and deployed during large-scale emergencies.
Lafayette County answers questions about Senior Real Estate Tax Credit
Missouri Commissioners passed an ordinance authorizing a property tax credit pursuant to Senate Bill 190 and Senate Bill 756 and § 137.1050, RSMo. to provide property tax relief on senior citizens’ primary residence on April 2nd, 2025, as Ordinance #25-01. The County has compiled answers to frequently asked questions regarding the status of the Senior Real Estate Tax Credit, its implementation requirements, and the potential effects on taxpayers and local districts.
