Carrollton man facing new charges after foot chase with police

CARROLLTON, MO – A Carrollton man wanted for a no bond probation violation warrant in Carroll County is facing new charges after being apprehended last month.
According to a probable cause statement, Carrollton Police got into a foot chase with 27-year-old Jacob Eugene Martin on February 16th after they attempted to serve the warrant. Martin had previously been charged with possession of a controlled substance and domestic assault of a family member in January. Prior to that he was charged for a 2023 incident n both Carroll and Lafayette counties in which he stole a motorcycle. He was later located and arrested in the 400 block of Kinsloe Street. He had a baggie of methamphetamine and a glass smoking pipe containing meth. His initial court appearance is set for Wednesday at 9 am.
