The Husker Track and Field program started up recently with meets at Chillicothe on 3-24 and Richmond on 3-26. Top three finishes at Chillicothe included Clay Aversman taking 3rd in the 1600m run, Owen Elliott winning the 3200m Run, Liam Divine 2nd 300m Hurdles, and Colton Dittmer 3rd in Discuss, 2nd in Javelin, and 3rd in Shot. Girls placing high were: Zaylin Strickland 3rd in the 100m Dash, 2nd in the 200m Dash, Lilian Joyner 3rd in the 400m Dash, Violet Joyner 1st, 800m Run, Tenley Pessetto 1st 1600m Run, Chloe Tyler 1st 100m Hurdles, and 2nd in 300m Hurdles, Tyler also took 1 st in the Long Jump. Anna Golden took 2nd in the Discus, and 1st in the Shot Put.

Highlights at Richmond included Bryson Smith taking 1 st in the 800M run, and Dilon Elliott taking 3rd. Seven Huskers in a row taking 1-7 in the 1600M run; in order of finish; Aversman 1st, then Cru Bell, Nolen Phillips, Liam Thompson, Colt Bayless, D. Elliott, and O. Elliott. Corde Owens 1st in the 110m Hurdles, Divine 1st in the 300m Hurdles, Jonathan Young 1 st in Pole Vault, and Samuel Davis 1st in Discuss. For the ladies it was Strickland 1 st in the 100m Dash, L. Joyner 1 st in the 400m, Pessetto 1st in the 1600m, Tyler 1st in 100m, and 300m Hurdles, Ada Stoner 1st in the High Jump, Tyler 1st in the Long Jump, Strickland 1st in Triple Jump, and Kyamila Huseynov 1st in Pole Vault, Stoner won the Javelin, and Golden took 1st in Shot Put.
