Lexington needs you!

Are you interested in serving your community? The City of Lexington is looking for residents who want to get involved by serving on a City board or committee.

Board members are appointed by the Mayor and serve a two-year term. Most boards meet once a month in the evening in the Council Chambers on the lower level of City Hall.

These volunteer committees provide valuable suggestions, advice, and information to the Mayor and City Council to help guide decisions and support the growth of our city.

The city currently has openings on the following boards:

• Historic Downtown Commission

• Planning and Zoning Commission

• Tourism Board

• Transportation Board If you are motivated and want to make a difference in Lexington, we encourage you to apply.

Apply online: https://lexingtonmo.gov/committees Or apply in person: Stop by City Hall to meet with the Mayor and complete an application.
