The Lexington Girls and Boys Basketball Teams will be competing next week in the Class 3 District 14 Tournament that will be played at Lone Jack High School.

The Lexington Girls are the number 3 seed in the 5 team bracket, and they will have their first game next Wednesday, February 25 against the number 2 seeded Higginsville Girls, with tip off scheduled for 7 pm.

The other teams in the Girls bracket include number 1 seeded Lone Jack, number 4 seeded University Academy, and number 5 seeded Hogan Prep. The winner of the Lexington-Higginsville contest will play for the District Championship at 6 pm on Friday, February 27.

The Lexington Boys, who are the number 4 seed, will play their first game next Tuesday, February 24 against number 5 seeded Holden at 5:30 pm. The winner of that contest will face number 1 seeded Higginsville at 5:30 pm, on Thursday, February 26.

The other Boys teams in the District are number 2 seeded University Academy, number 3 seeded Lone Jack, and number 6 seeded Hogan Prep. Somewhat ironically, the Holden Boys are playing in District 14, while the Holden Girls have been placed in District 13. The District 14 Boys Championship game will be played on Saturday, February 28 at 3 pm.
