Lexington to go green for parade

Lexington’s 30th Saint Patrick’s Day Parade will step off at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 14 in downtown Lexington.
Line up will start at 1 p.m. at 13th and Franklin, where everyone is welcome to be in the parade. There is no fee or preregistration; just go to the back of the line and you’re in.
“No smoking tires or peeling out. This is a family, friends, and fun day. Let’s keep safe. You may throw candy towards the sidewalk to keep kids safe,” said co-parade organizer Taffy Morgan. “Please come out and enjoy this parade. If you have never been in the parade, now is your chance. Your family and friends will enjoy it and your kids will always remember it. Get your green on and enjoy.”
The parade is sponsored by the Lexington Area Chamber of Commerce.
