Geral “T” Lewis West, 81, of Mayview, died on February 12, 2026 at the VA Medical Center. He was born May 3, 1944, in Warrensburg, to Ivy and Lilas (Foxx) West.

Geral worked as a custodian for the Mayview and Odessa school systems for 22 years. He was a Vietnam Army veteran who liked to hunt and fish.

Funeral services were held on Tuesday, February 17th at 10:30 am at Kaiser-Wiegers Funeral Home in Higginsville. Visitation was held one hour prior to the funeral.

He will be buried in the Marvin Chapel Cemetery outside of Mayview.
