Hazel Hill Community Club met on March 12 at Thomas Hall at 1 p.m. Mary Ellen Kitchen, and Lolly Schmidt were the hostesses. Other members attending were: Audrey Campbell, Anna Mae Closterman, Lois Graf, Cathy Rogge, Mary Salyer, Diane Schmidt, and Lois Schmidt.

President Cathy called the meeting to order. Lolly read the minutes; they were approved as read. Mary Ellen gave the Treasurer’s report as of March 1. Thank you cards were received from Ronald McDonald House, and Show Me Children’s Home. A sympathy card was sent to the Shirley Maycock Family. A thank you card was sent to David & Jeanne Peters for the roll of stamps.

Hostesses for the April 9 meeting will be Mary and Lois G. Grab bag gifts were won by Cathy, and Diane. Crystal took a picture of the group for our 75th anniversary. History of the Club and a picture will be in The Santa Fe Times. On April 18, the club will go to the Lyceum Theatre to see the Johnny Cash Tribute. Lunch reservations are at the J Hudson Tavern at 11:30 a.m. Will leave the Baptist Church parking lot at 10:15 a.m.

A poem entitled “Take Time” was read by Lolly. Delicious refreshments were served to all.
