Chiefs take on the Early Bird meet at Carrollton in Track & Field

Santa Fe headed north over the bridge for an early season track meet at Carrollton on March 26.
Several solid performances were turned in by the Red and Black on the day, and one champion was crowned as well, with Wyatt Doak continuing to sky high in the High Jump, and 4×200 girls relay team taking 1st.
Top three placers at the event for the girls were; Brooke Summers in the 100m Dash taking 3rd, Sue Vandiver taking 2nd in the 800m Run, Mia Lark taking 3rd in the 300m Hurdles, with the 4×200 relay team taking 1st, and the 4×800 team at runner up. Mae Vandiver took 2nd in the Long Jump, and 3rd in the Triple Jump, Sue Vandiver took 2nd in the Triple, and Brooke Dierking took 2nd in Shot Put. For the Chiefs, top three finishers were; Wyatt Doak 1st in the High Jump, Koewen Dierker 2nd in the Discus and the Shot.
The next meet for the Chiefs is over in Higginsville, on April 7, after that will be the Delbert Best meet in Odessa on April 14, and the Bill Hamman meet in Lexington on April 16.
