Apply now for Lafayette County Veterans Memorial brick
The Friends of the Lafayette County Veterans Memorial are proud to announce the launch of the Veterans Memorial Brick Program, an initiative designed to honor local veterans who have served our nation.
Through this program, residents and community members may commemorate the service and sacrifice of Lafayette County veterans by purchasing personalized memorial bricks to be placed in newly constructed walls at the Veterans Memorial site.
A total of 200 memorial brick spaces are available. Each brick is priced at $300. To be eligible, the veteran must be a native or permanent resident of Lafayette County, Missouri, and must have received an honorable discharge. Applicants must submit a DD-214 form or equivalent documentation to verify military service and discharge status.
Payment is not required at the time of application. Payment will be requested only after eligibility has been confirmed and the application approved. If more than 200 eligible applications are received, a computer-generated lottery will be used to determine which veterans are honored during this phase of the project. Applications not selected will be retained for future consideration as the memorial expands.
The application deadline is April 9, 2026. Applicants selected through the approval or lottery process must submit payment by May 9, 2026. Failure to meet the payment deadline will result in forfeiture of the opportunity, which will then be offered to the next applicant on the list.
This initiative provides a lasting and meaningful way to recognize the brave men and women of Lafayette County who served our country and to ensure their legacy is preserved for generations to come.
