Things looked promising early on for the Lady Chiefs at Cole Camp last Friday night, trying to end the regular season with a W. After one quarter of play Santa Fe had clamped down on defense against CCHS, leading 8-2. Scores by Brooke Dierking and Mia Lark highlighted the opening frame.

Santa Fe would only post 5’s in the next two frames, (scoring by Sami Mueller, Lark, and Abbie Mueller led the scoring in the middle frames). Cole Camp sprang for a hefty 17 in the 3rd quarter which proved to be a difference maker. After three it was Cole Camp leading 25-18. CCHS was also scorching the nets from the charity stripe as well.

In the final quarter Tatum Fitzwater made her presence felt scoring 4 points, and Lark added another basket, yet the final in this one was 40-24 with the Lady Blue Birds flying away with the win. District 14 postseason action is being played this week at Concordia.
