CHANGE TO NEWS DEADLINES

During the month of March, as the newspaper transitions to new procedures, the deadline for submission of items will change to Mondays at noon (rather than the usual deadline of Tuesday at noon). Contact information for the newspaper is also changing. The new email address is news@santafetimesnews.com, new phone is 660-243-0330 and new mailing address is PO Box 128, Lexington, MO 64067.

Coffee with the Commission

The Lafayette County Commission are continuing their Coffee with the Commission outreach program by visiting towns across the county. Area residents are invited to the upcoming meetings, as follows: Saturday, March 14, at Bridge Inn Restaurant in Waverly (109 Old Bridge St., Waverly) Saturday, April 4, at Ten Twelve Main in Lexington (1012 Main St., Lexington) All meetings are held from 9-10:30 a.m. Meet your commissioners, ask questions, and learn more about Lafayette County’s goals for 2026 and beyond.

Good Friends & Neighbors

On the first Monday of every month, a community group in Waverly called Good Friends and Neighbors meets at the Waverly Baptist Church.

Meetings begin at 10:30 a.m. with a potluck lunch to follow. All are welcome to attend!
