The Santa Fe R-X Board of Education held its September meeting at Santa Fe Elementary School in Waverly. The meeting began with a meal and a special treat, some of the Apple Jubilee’s famous apple dumplings!
State Board of Education meets in Jefferson City to review A-F Grade Card framework
The Missouri State Board of Education (State Board) met Sept. 15 to approve the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education’s (DESE) proposed A–F Grade Card Framework, consider the department’s Fiscal Year (FY) 2028 budget request, receive an update from St. Louis Public Schools (SLPS), and discuss additional matters.

Santa Fe FFA named 2 Star Chapter for 2026 National Chapter Award
The Santa Fe FFA Chapter of Alma has been recognized in 2026 National Chapter Award Program from the National FFA Organization. They were given a 2-star ranking. Truly a mark of their exceptionalism, less than 10% of chapters nationwide are given a ranking from the National FFA Organization.

School is in session
School has resumed for students in the Santa Fe area! Trinity students returned to the classroom on Wednesday, Aug. 19 and Santa Fe R-X students returned on Tuesday, Aug. 25.
Santa Fe School Board holds annual tax rate hearing
The Santa Fe R-X Board of Education met in regular session on Wednesday, Aug. 19. The board met early at 6:30 a.m. to conduct the annual tax rate hearing and complete its regular board business. Following the meeting, board members remained for the district’s annual Board Breakfast with district staff.
