Tieman-Blackburn auxiliary selects Girls State candidates, discusses upcoming events

The Tieman-Blackburn American Legion Auxiliary met Monday, March 9, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Blackburn.

Kurt Lorenz came to the Auxiliary to speak to the group about John Knox Village Living Center. There were eight members present answering roll call.

Vice President Denise Limback had an opening prayer. President Jan Erdman called the meeting to order with the Pledge, Preamble, and Mission Statement. A moment of silence was observed for our servicemen.

Girls State candidates Sofia Dobson and Maleigh Mullins were chosen from Santa Fe.

On June 27, 2025, the Auxiliary will sponsor a cake walk for the Alma 4th of July Celebration on Saturday. More plans will follow.

On April 18, 2026, the West Central MO Veterans Assistance League will host their 21st annual appreciation banquet at the American Legion Post 131 in Warrensburg.

With no further business the meeting was adjourned with a prayer by Vice President Denise Limback. Refreshments were served by Carol Cook.

The next meeting will be held on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 7 p.m. at the Legion Hall in Blackburn.
