On March 5, the Missouri FFA Foundation announced that Santa Fe FFA Advisor Martha Schreiman was named a semi-finalist for the Golden Owl Award®.

The Golden Owl Award recognizes outstanding agricultural educators in several states, including Missouri. Presented by Nationwide® and FCS Financial, the Golden Owl Award recognizes agricultural educators across Missouri for their tremendous contributions to helping the next generation of agricultural leaders. Anyone can nominate their favorite agricultural teacher by visiting https://missouriffa.org/mo-ffa-foundation/golden-owl/ and summarizing what makes their teacher the best in the state.

Each nominee has an opportunity to win the title of Missouri Agricultural Educator of the Year and cash prizes. This year, 18 semi-finalists received a $250 check and a new backpack.

Schreiman will now advance to the selection process for seven finalists, and then a Grand Prize winner will be announced in April.
