Lexington Fire & Rescue is happy to announce that we have added a set of battery-powered extrication tools to our rescue equipment.

These tools were a much needed upgrade to our aging set. These tools will be able to handle the safety upgrades on modern cars where our old set was not.

Benefits of the new tools include:

• Rapid Deployment – No hoses or hydraulic pumps needed, allowing for near-instant operation on arrival.

• Improved Mobility – Completely cordless, allowing crews to operate in tight spaces, remote areas, or upper floors.

• Increased Safety – Eliminates hose trip hazards and keeps the scene cleaner and more organized.

• Lightweight & Compact – Easier for firefighters to carry, maneuver, and operate during rescues.

• Quieter Operation – Less noise helps improve communication and reduces stress for patients.
