1. State the elected office you are seeking.

City Councilman for Ward 1.

2. Give us a background of your family, your education and your history in the area.

I grew up in Higginsville and graduated from Higginsville High School. I am an Iraq War Veteran. When I came back, I attended MCC for their Industrial Electrician program. After that, I maintained a job at General Mills as an Industrial Electrician. After moving to Lexington, I began working in public utilities and currently oversee dayto- day operations at the Higginsville Power Plant as part of the city’s Electric Department. There, I have started the 4 year Lineman Apprenticeship program.

My family and I have lived in Lexington for the past 10 years. During that time, I’ve had the privilege of coaching several youth sports teams, including soccer, football, baseball, and basketball. I am also a volunteer firefighter for Lexington. Community involvement has always been important to me.

My wife, Holly, is the Culinary Arts instructor at Lex La Ray Technical Center. We have three children. Our oldest graduated from LHS last year, and our two younger children attend LBS. Lexington is home for us, and we are invested in its future.

3. State your reasons for running for this office.

I’m running because I care about this community and want to do my part to help it continue moving forward. Lexington has strong roots and great people. I want to help strengthen our sense of community, support smart growth, and be more directly involved in decisions that affect our city.

4. State your qualifications for this office.

In my current role overseeing daily operations at the Higginsville Power Plant, I manage large-scale projects and work within strict budgets. I understand how city infrastructure operates and how important responsible financial management is.

Through my work, I’ve collaborated with city officials and departments on a variety of projects. I’m familiar with how city government functions and believe my experience in utilities, budgeting, and operations gives me a practical understanding of how to serve effectively.

5. What are your priorities and goals for the city of Lexington?

One of my top priorities is strengthening collaboration between the city and the organizations that already work hard to support it. Groups such as Tourism, Community Betterment, Economic Development, and the Chamber of Commerce play an important role in Lexington’s success. I believe in listening to these boards, supporting their efforts, and helping move their goals forward.

Community engagement is also important to me. The more involved our residents are, the stronger our city becomes. I want to encourage participation and make sure people feel heard.

Finally, I believe in responsible budgeting, managing the city’s finances in a way that supports growth while staying fiscally sound. My goal is steady, practical progress that benefits the city as a whole.
