On Sunday, April 12, a Higginsville juvenile was injured in a one-vehicle accident on I-70 between Higginsville and Odessa.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred at 7 p.m. on I-70 at the 43 mile marker. A vehicle driven by a 17-year-old male of Higginsville was traveling eastbound when it struck a crash attenuator, which is a roadside safety barrier intended to reduce the severity of vehicle collisions.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. He was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center via EMS.

The vehicle, a 2006 Ford, was totaled and towed from the scene.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. A.J. Foss with assistance from MSgt. C.G. Dunfee.

On Friday, April 10, a man from Pacific, Mo., was injured in a one-vehicle accident near Concordia.

According to the crash report, the accident occurred at 6:03 a.m. on I-70 at the 56.4 mile marker. A vehicle driven by a 43-year-old man of Pacific, Mo., was traveling westbound when it hydroplaned. The vehicle travelled off the right side of the roadway.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained moderate injuries. He was transported to Western Missouri Medical Center via Concordia EMS.

The vehicle, a 2015 Infinity QX80, received extensive damage and was towed from the scene.

The accident was investigated by Tpr. J.M. Haines with assistance from Cpl. M.J. Hanrahan.

On Tuesday, April 7, a Marshall man was injured in a onevehicle accident near Blackburn.

According to the crash report, the accident occurred at 6:30 a.m. at the intersection of Hwy 20 and Hwy 127. A vehicle driven by a 27-year-old male of Marshall was traveling eastbound when it tried to avoid an animal in the roadway. The vehicle travelled off the roadway and into a ditch.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. He was transported to Bothwell Medical Center via private conveyance.

The vehicle, a 2026 Mazda 6, was totaled and towed from the scene.
