Grace Ione Rinne (Kronsbein)

Grace Ione Rinne (Kronsbein), 96 of Higginsville, Missouri was called home by her Lord on Saturday, April 18, 2026, at Meyer Care Center. She was born Saturday, December 14, 1929 in Corder, Missouri and was the daughter of Erwin Kronsbein and Leona Kronsbein (Kessler). She was a graduate of Higginsville High School and shortly after, married Willis Rinne on April 9, 1950. He preceded her in death on February 23, 2017.

Grace was a retail clerk in several local hardware and automotive stores throughout her working career. She was savvy and very well-rounded with her store merchandise. Many of the locals were impressed how well she knew the hardware and where everything was located in the store.

Grace was upbeat and had a lively personality. She loved to laugh and have a good time. She enjoyed life and friends. Family was extremely important to her. She and Willis bought lake property later in life and that was a huge part of their social life. They enjoyed having family down to the lake and hosting friends. Grace loved to fish and spend time on the water.

In her free time, she enjoyed crossword puzzles, gardening and was an avid reader. Grace’s church family was very important to her too. She was an active member of Immanuel Lutheran Church. Her childhood church membership was at Zion Lutheran Church in Corder and she was proud that her grandfather was a founding member of the Corder church. Grace’s smile, love of life and joyful laugh will be missed by all.

Surviving are one son, Tim (Sharon) Rinne of Higginsville; one daughter, Lisa (Randy) Stone of Higginsville; four grandchildren, Kyle (Amy) Rinne, Brett (Virginia) Rinne, Logan (Sarah) Schneider, Ethan (Holly) Schneider; 9 great-grandchildren, Spencer, Izzy, and Leo Rinne and Elan, Autumn, Corrine, Hiram, Owen and Millie Schneider. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Willis Rinne; three brothers, William Kronsbein, Wilbur Kronsbein and Roland Kronsbein.

The family will receive friends from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026, at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 1501 Lipper St. Higginsville, Missouri. A funeral service will be held at 10:00 AM at the church with Rev. Mark Junkin officiating. Burial will be in the Missouri Veterans Cemetery, Higginsville, MO. Casket bearers: Jim Kronsbein, Mike Lettau, Kyle Rinne, Brett Rinne, Logan Schneider, Ethan Schneider. Honorary casket bearers: Kent Alexander, Larry Brown, Kendall Rinne, Kenneth Rinne, and Kevin Rinne.
