West Central Electric Cooperative has announced the 21 area high school seniors who have been named recipients of a West Central Electric Cooperative Scholarship.

Some of the local winners include:

Lafayette County C-l High School seniors Nora Knipmeyer, daughter of Victoria and Aaron Knipmeyer; Blair Bergsieker, daughter of Tim and Courtney Bergsieker;

Santa Fe High School senior Joel Long, son of Eric Long and Jeri Long; St. Paul Lutheran High School senior Chloe Fahrmeier, daughter of Brandon and Mary Fahrmeier; The West Central Electric Cooperative, Inc. Scholarship is awarded each year to several area high school seniors whose parents or legal guardians are current members of the electric cooperative.

UCM (University of Central Missouri) honored their students recogized with Who’s Who awards. Charles Grumke (of Higginsville) was 1 of 14 students with this honor. He was in the top 1% of the 2025/2026 graduating class. Charles graduated with a 4.0 GPA in the Professional Pilot program. Above he is pictured with his parents, Lowell & Rhonda Grumke.
