I am proud to share that the Show Me Sports Investment Act is already delivering results for Missouri. The Kansas City Royals have announced they are staying in our state.

Missouri stands behind its teams. The Royals are a cornerstone of our state’s identity and economy, generating jobs, supporting local businesses, driving tourism, and entertaining Missourians for generations.

Their commitment includes a $3 billion project to build a new ballpark surrounded by retail, hotels, and dining, a transformational investment in Missouri’s future.

The Show-Me Sports Investment Act strengthens Missouri’s ability to compete with neighboring states like Kansas in attracting and retaining major sports franchises. The program funds projects like the new Royals ballpark while protecting taxpayers by tying any state participation to clear, measurable economic outcomes, ensuring public dollars follow proven results, not promises.

I am proud to have carried this legislation and excited to see its immediate impact. It is fiscally responsible, carefully structured, and built for long-term value.
