Nap-Well Homemakers Club meets
Nap-Well Homemakers Club met April 21st, at the CCC in Wellington, hosted by Linda Geiger with fourteen members and one guest attending.
President Connie Siefker led the Pledge of Allegiance followed by a welcome to our new member, Dorothy Friedrich. The devotion and prayer on “Finding Happiness” was given by Denise Kaullen. Roll call was answered by “Remembering Someone Who Often Wore an Apron”.
A program given by Mary Borgman on “Aprons” was enjoyed by all. Mary provided a history and timeline of aprons and their uses and styles throughout the years. Club members brought and shared aprons for “show and tell”, along with memories of their own.
A short business meeting was held. Six scholarship applications were received for the Nap-Well Scholarship, and two recipients have been chosen by the Scholarship Committee. Recipients will be announced at our next meeting on May 19th, with Jeanette Niendick serving as hostess at the CCC building. With no further business, meeting was adjourned.
Kaullen was the game leader for the evening, and in keeping with the theme of finding happiness, club members played “Bob Ross Bingo”. Leona Oberhelman was game & prize winner.
All members were treated to a tin of Bob Ross “Happy Little Tree Mints”.
The door prize of a beautiful hanging plant was won by Carolyn Drecktrah. Refreshments were served by our hostess.
