May 3, 1954 – June 9, 2026 John E. “Jake” Gray, 72, of Mayview, died on June 9, 2026 at his home.

He was born May 3, 1954 in Lexington, to Jack and Evelyn (Driver) Gray.

He is survived by his nephews Gerald Gray, Jr., Shawn Fisher, Keith Romans, Kevin Romans, Scott Romans, nieces Kristy Barker (Je_ ), Dawn Romans, Rhonda Woodward (Hayes) and several great nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, June 13th, at the First Presbyterian Church in Higginsville.

Funeral services will follow at 3:00 pm. He will be buried in the City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to the church.
