Homemakers celebrate nation’s 250th anniversary
In celebration of our country’s 250th anniversary, Nap-Well Homemakers met on June 16 at the CCC in Wellington, with a patriotic theme. Hostess for the evening was Bonnie Kohlstaedt. There were 14 members and 1 guest present.
Club President, Connie Siefker, called the meeting to order, leading members in the pledge of allegiance. Carolyn Drecktrah then directed the group in the singing of patriotic songs. Roll call was answered by: A Flag History Fact.
Annie Durigan was our guest for the evening, and she shared an extremely informative and enjoyable program on “Lost History of the Past 250 Years.”
Following a short business meeting, plans were reviewed for our Club outing on Wednesday, July 22, when we will be attending the matinee performance of “Legally Blonde,” at the New Dinner Theatre.
Drecktrah entertained members with a riddle about the United States. Leona Oberhelman won the door prize, and refreshments were served by our hostess.
