His Name Is Jesus

The greatest man in history had no servants, yet they called him ‘Master.’ He had no degree, yet they called him ‘Teacher’. Had no medicines, yet they called him ‘Healer.’ He had no army, yet kings feared Him. He won no military battles, yet He conquered the world. He committed no crime, yet they crucified Him. He was buried in a tomb, yet He rose again and lives today. His name is

… He makes a way where there ain’t no way, rises up from an empty grave. There ain’t no sinner that He can’t save. His love is strong and His grace is free! The good news is I know that He can do for you what He’s done for me. Let me tell you ’bout

change your life!

He can wipe away the tears from broken dreams and wasted years and tell the past to disappear. All the wrong turns that you took and would undo if you could, He can work it all for your good. He makes a way where it seems there ain’t no way. He took my cross to Calvary, paid the price for all my guilty. He cares that much about me! You too … Alleluia! Let my Jesus change your life!’

(from ‘My Jesus’ song lyrics by A.Wilson, J.Pardo & M.West).

Are you one of those “C&E’ Christians? You dress up nice and make your way into the church building on

Christmas and Easter?

You toss a buck or two in the offering plate because you feel guilty (that’s all they really want is your money, right?). But you leave feeling pretty good! and you vow to make it back again next year.

Or maybe you’re a “shelf’ Christian … you attend church service fairly regularly because that’s what you’re ‘supposed to do’ on Sunday; but at home, you place Jesus up on a nice shelf in the family room, dust Him off every once in awhile and keep Him within reach in case you need to grab Him in an emergency.

Isn’t that how the ‘Jesus thing’ really works?

NOPE!

Psalms 55:22 “Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee: he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.” Isaiah 41:10 – “Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness.”

Jesus isn’t someone you call on only when you need Him. Maybe you’re casting Him aside because you’re scared you’ll have to give up something in your life that you know is wrong, sinful? You might not see it now, but Jesus is better than any of your sin!

Romans 8:31 “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?”

What if the next time you really need Him, out of desperation you call on Him and He answers, “Sorry, it’s not Christmas or Easter yet. Ask me then.” Fortunately, that’s not His style. But He does want us to live for Him so we can experience the joy of His glory!

When you trust Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you experience spiritual birth and begin a personal relationship with Him. He is ‘My Jesus’ to everyone who becomes His child. It’s your choice.

Have you made plans to visit Higginsville’s Community Bible Tour on July 25th? (Find more information on their Facebook page, including a QR code.) It is a FREE family event, held rain or shine. Have fun while sharing with others the importance of using God’s true words for English-speaking people in the King James Bible and how modern ‘bible’ versions are dangerous deceptions. Also share these weekly articles in The Higginsville Advance newspaper with those who may not have heard or read about them. It is our duty as Christians to be God’s hands and feet. Let’s spread the truth to the Higginsville community and beyond so our little city can be a big Light!

Matthew 5:14-15 – ‘Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. 15 Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.’
