Sharon Kay Bobzin

Sharon Kay Bobzin, of Concordia, died on Saturday, Aug. 29, 2026.
She was born Oct. 24, 1944, in Higginsville, to Ernst and Anna Schafer of Corder.
She attended Zion Lutheran School in Corder through eighth grade. She attended Concordia High School in Seward, Neb., in 1958 with the intention of being a Lutheran school teacher. There she met her future husband, John C. Bobzin of Chicago, Ill. They were married on June 26, 1965, at Zion Lutheran Church in Corder. Sharon taught for years and then was able to stay home and raise their children. She later became a district manager for Avon. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernst and Anna Schafer; her sister, Shirley Lee; and her brother, Wendell.
She is survived by her husband, John C. Bobzin of Concordia; four children: Jodi Colwell (Clint) of Concordia, Amy Woods (Brian), Becca Ryals (Jeff) of Orange, Calif., and John T. Bobzin (Tracy) of Concordia; 12 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two more coming later this year.
Visitation will be held 1-3 p.m. on Friday, Sept. 4, 2026 at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church. Funeral services will follow at the church. Burial will be at St. Paul’s Lutheran Cemetery.
