Higginsville Lafayette County C-1 played host to district wrestling action on Friday and Saturday in the Husker East Gym. In what some refer to as the District of Death (or perhaps in lighter terms, one of the toughest districts around), many wrestlers battled tough for C-1, and when all was said and done, three C1 boys punched their tickets to Columbia and the MSHSAA State Wrestling Champions this week.

Those three wrestlers are Evan Chrisco, Xavier Myers, and Abe Morris.

The girls joining them at state are Kyamila Huseynov, Gillian Davenport, Myla Petersen, and Lorelei Weaver.

State is slated for Wednesday and Thursday for the Huskers at Mizzou Arena.
