A lifetime of spiritual learning + growing = fun!

Almighty God is a God of numbers. Throughout Scripture, God uses numbers which hold special meanings, and the number 3 is one of those — representing completion, wholeness, perfection … and God’s work coming full circle.

Jesus rose again on Day 3 1Corinthians 15:4 “And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:” Jonah spent three days and nights in the belly of a fish Jonah 1:17 – “Now the LORD had prepared a great fish to swallow up Jonah. And Jonah was in the belly of the fish three days and three nights.”

The angels cry “Holy, holy, holy’ and glorify God Isaiah 6:3 – “And one cried unto another, and said, Holy, holy, holy, is the LORD of hosts: the whole earth is full of his glory.”

The Ark of the Covenant held three sacred items Hebrews 9:4 “… and the ark of the covenant overlaid round about with gold, wherein was the golden pot that had manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded, and the tables of the covenant;” John’s vision of the New Jerusalem had four sets of 3 gates – 3 on the east, 3 on the north, 3 on the south, 3 on the west.

Revelation 21:12-13 ‘And had a wall great and high, and had twelve gates … 13 On the east three gates; on the north three gates; on the south three gates; and on the west three gates.’

The wise men brought three gifts when Jesus was born — gold, frankincense, myrrh.

After Jesus was arrested on Good Friday, Peter denied him three times (thrice).

On the third day of creation, God spoke into existence dry land and vegetation, which were necessary for life to flourish on earth.

God asks for our time, talents, treasures Satan uses 3 main methods of deception: lust of the flesh, lust of the eyes, pride of life The Latin phrase, omne trium perfectum, means things that come in threes are perfect and complete.

Number 3 in Hebrew is written: The Holy Trinity The number 3 in God’s Word mirrors who God is … The Trinity.

One God, Three Persons: God the Father, God the Son, God the Holy Spirit.

Unity in perfect relationship, woven into the salvation story.

God The Father – creates and sustains. God The Son (Jesus) reveals and redeems.

God The Holy Spirit empowers and indwells.

God gave humans a trinity too … body, soul, spirit.

God is Love … it’s Who God is!

Three persons, one mission — to redeem and restore humanity.

Other things that come in 3s — Primary Colors (Red, Blue, Yellow) Dimensions (Length, Width, Height) Parts of an Atom (Proton, Neutron, Electron) Traffic Lights (Red, Yellow, Green) Months in a Quarter (January, February, March) Most importantly, the number 3 is the blueprint of God’s love in action. On the third day is when everything changes Jesus (God the Son) rose again on the third day, defeating death and hell. (1Cor. 15:4) There are many more uses of the number 3 in the Bible.
