Soendker, Smith both run well in Half Marathon

Two Lexington High School star Cross Country and Track runners, Conner Soendker and Addison Smith, both competed very well in a Half Marathon event that was run in Naples Florida, on Saturday January 17.
Conner Soendker finished first in his age group, as he completed the 13 mile Half Marathon race in a time of 1 hour, 18 minutes and 34 seconds. He also placed 28th out of a total of 1406 runners who competed in the race. Addison Smith also ran well as she finished second in her age group, with a time of 1 hour, 34 minutes and 12 seconds, and she came in 110th out of the 1406 runners who ran the race.
Both Smith and Soendker have been All State Cross Country runners for the past two seasons, as Smith has been the Girls Class 2 individual State Champion the past two seasons, while Soendker finished 17th this past season and 7th last year. Last Spring, Smith won the 3200 Meter Run, ran on the 3200 Meter Relay Team that finished 3rd, and finished 6th in the 1600 Meter Run, at the State Track Meet. Soendker finished 2nd in the 1600 Meter Run, 3rd in the 800 Meter Run and 10th in the 3200 Meter Run at State.
