Ethel Lorraine Beatie, age 88, of Warsaw, passed away Friday, Jan. 30, 2026, at her home.

She was born on Aug. 23, 1937, in Beardstown, Ill., the daughter of Melvin and Amelia (Holthoff) Rose. Lorraine grew up in Corder, Mo., where she graduated from Corder High School.

On Feb. 11, 1956, she was united in marriage to Jerry Beatie at Zion Lutheran Church in Corder. Following their marriage, they made their home in Painesville, Ohio.

Lorraine was employed as a supervisor with Hallmark Greeting Cards for 27 years. Jerry and Lorraine retired in 1988 and later moved to Warsaw.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Beatie; a daughter, Julie Rae Young; four sisters: Mae Wills, Edith Schowengert, Wanda Crawford and Linda Franklin; a brother, Tom Rose; a brother-in-law, Bill Beatie; and a sisterin- law, Joycelyn Beatie.

Lorraine is survived by a daughter, Geraldine Ann Johnson and her husband, Doug, of Broken Arrow, Okla.; eight great-grandchildren; a sister-in-law, Mary Ann Braley of Gladstone; along with other relatives and friends.

Arrangements are under the direction of the Reser Funeral Home in Warsaw.
