Alma resident in recent accident

On Thursday, Feb. 5, an Alma resident was involved in a four-vehicle accident on I-435.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol crash report, the accident occurred at 4:23 p.m. on I-435 south of Parvin Rd. A vehicle driven by a 42-yearold male of Olathe, was traveling southbound when it struck the rear of a second southbound vehicle, driven by a 64-year-old male of Kansas City, Mo. The Olathe vehicle travelled around the KC vehicle and struck a third southbound vehicle, driven by a 71-year-old female of Alma. The Alma vehicle was then pushed into a southbound semi, driven by a 30-year0old male of Camden Point, Mo.

All drivers were wearing a seatbelt and none had injuries listed in the report except the Olathe man, who sustained minor injuries. He was treated at the scene.

The Olathe vehicle, a 2015 Ford Fusion; the Kansas City vehicle, a 2016 Buick Enclave; and the Alma vehicle, a 2025 Cadillac XTX; were all totaled and towed from the scene. The semi, a 2020 Kenworth, received minor damage and was driven from the scene.
