Governor appoints Higginsville man to Safe Drinking Water Commission

On Feb. 20, Governor Mike Kehoe announced four gubernatorial appointments to various boards and commissions.

Margaret Freihaut, of Robertsville, was reappointed to the Missouri State Board of Chiropractic Examiners. Elizabeth Grove, of Monroe City, was reappointed to the Safe Drinking Water Commission. Shane Weber, of Sedalia, was appointed to the Missouri Real Estate Appraisers Commission.And Dennis Knipmeyer, of Higginsville, was reappointed to the Safe Drinking Water Commission.

Mr. Knipmeyer serves as chairman of the board of trustees of the Tabo Watershed District. Prior to retirement, he was manager of Consolidated Public Water District #2 of Lafayette, Johnson, & Saline Counties. He has also served as president of the West Central Electric Cooperative Roundup Foundation Board. Knipmeyer earned a bachelor’s degree in agricultural chemistry from the University of Missouri.
