On Saturday, Feb. 28, Lafayette County residents are invited to the next meeting in a series of community outreach events hosted by the Lafayette County Commission. This event will be held at 7 Days Diner (108 NW 4th St.
Concordia) from 9-10:30 a.m. Meet your commissioners, ask questions, and learn more about Lafayette County’s goals for 2026 and beyond.
Attention area men and boys! You are invited to a Wild Game Supper, to be held at Waverly Baptist Church on Saturday, Feb. 28, at 6 p.m.
The event will include dinner and a program.

Good Friends & Neighbors
On the first Monday of every month, a community group in Waverly called Good Friends and Neighbors meets at the Waverly Baptist Church. Meetings begin at 10:30 a.m. with a potluck lunch to follow. All are welcome to attend!
Lafayette County Health Department closure LCHD will be closed Tuesday, March 3, from 8 a.m. – 12 p.m. for staff development. The Health Department will be open from 12 p.m.
-5 p.m. that day. All services are provided on a non-discriminatory basis. LCHD is EOE.

Waverly PD to host First Impact
The Waverly Police Department will host a second free educational event called First Impact on Thursday, March 5, 2026 from 6-7:30 p.m. at Waverly City Hall (111 E. Kelling Ave., Waverly).
