The Lexington Minutewomen Girls Wrestling Team had a good weekend, as they placed fourth as a team, in the large Class 1 District Tournament at Kearney, that featured numerous larger schools, while three individual wrestlers placed in the top four in their individual weight class, and qualified for the State Wrestling Tournament that will be held on February 26 and 27 at Mizzou Arena in Columbia.

Senior Elizabeth (Izzy) Hager and Junior Mireya Gonzalez, both placed second, and will return to the Big Dance, while Junior Lainie Schumacher placed third, and will also be returning to the State Tournament.

Senior Amanda Rodekohr and Sophomore Kaylyn Sander both won two matches in the Tournament, and came within one more win of advancing to State.
