The Lafayette County Board of Education recently announced the selection of Dr Theresa Christian to be the new Superintendent, effective July 1, 2026. Outgoing Superintendent Aaron Knipmeyer will continue in that role until the end of June. Nikki McElwee was also selected to be the new elementary school principal starting August 1, 2026.
