Track and Field Hosts Rob HoeFer Meet

The Husker Track and Field team hosted their annual Rob Hoefer Track meet last week on Tuesday night. The girls continued to impress with a strong showing up and down the lineup card, and excelled in the relay races among other things. When all was said and done this huge meet with 20 plus teams in attendance had the Lady Huskers in first place.

Higgins ville Youth Wrestling Wrap Up

This info is courtesy of the Youth Wrestling Board: 'On January 17th & 18th, the Higginsville Youth Wrestling Club took 16 wrestlers to the Rookie & 6U State Folkstyle Tournament in Springfield, Missouri! Those that competed in this tournament were: Wyleigh Ratliff, Braelynn Bristow, Lawson Kirchhoff, Judson Beckman, Michael Lettau, Kaylee Woodruff, David Moss, Steven Birkett, Ephraim Thurmon, Colten Woodruff, Kamryn Schmidt, Gideon Anderson, Piper Anderson, Matthew Hughes, Krayzden Ratliff, and Jaxon Nevels. Lawson Kirchhoff brought home a 3rd place finish, Kaylee Woodruff brought home a 5th place finish, David Moss brought home a 4th place finish, Steven Birkett brought home a 2nd place finish, Ephraim Thurmon brought home a 3rd place finish, Piper Anderson brought home a 2nd place finish.

Highway 13 Butterfly Trail: Bethany to Branson

Kathi Mecham, MU Extension Field Specialist in Horticulture Missouri Highway 13 extends nearly the full length of the state, running from Bethany near the Iowa border to Branson at the Arkansas state line. This approximately 300mile highway passes through a diverse landscape, including the rugged hills of the southwest Missouri Ozarks, farmland, rolling hills, remnants of tallgrass prairie, and the fertile floodplains of the Missouri River. From north to south, Highway 13 showcases the ecological diversity that makes Missouri unique.
