The Lafayette County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office announces that criminal charges have been filed in connection with an investigation involving a former Lexington school district employee and an 18-year-old student.

Academic Week
Lexington High School held its annual Academic Week last week r ecognizing students who have had at least three semesters of high school and maintained a cumulative grade point average of 3.66 or higher. Above, students were treated to a visit to Lambert’s, home of the “throwed rolls.” More photos from the week are on page 2.

Homfeld Scholarship available
Applications are now being accepted for the 2026 Darrick K. Homfeld Memorial Scholarship. This is the 28th year this scholarship has been available to assist students pursuing technical studies.
