High school teams finish second at Carrollton
The Lexington High School Boys and Girls Track teams opened their season at the Carrollton Early Bird Combo Meet that was held this past Thursday at Carrollton High School.
Tigers pull away from Minutemen in late innings
In a game that was closer than the final score would indicate, the Wellington-Napoleon Tigers Boys Baseball Team pulled away in the final two innings, and defeated the Lexington Minutemen 17 to 5 last Wednesday in Lexington.

Retired teachers to meet April 9
Lafayette County Retired School Personnel will meet on Thursday, April 9 at 2:30 P.M., at the FCS Financial Office building, 4100 MO-13 BUS Hwy, Higginsville.
Royals players shine in World Baseball Classic
Quite a few Kansas City Royals Baseball players did themselves proud recently, as they played well in the World Baseball Classic that wrapped up a week ago Tuesday in Miami. The World Baseball Classic is a World Championship Baseball Tournament that attracted teams from 20 different Countries from different parts of the World.
