Girls Track is running towards a winning season
The Coaches have been looking forward to this season because of all of the talent returning and the incoming freshmen talent that is going to add to the team. Our state ranked distance crew of Lovell, Engelbrecht, and Smith along with our returning seniors Earnest and Rodekohr along with freshmen Litche and Shepherd, the Lexington girls should be a force at state.

Baseball builds momentum with strong roster and work ethic
The Lexington High School baseball program is gearing up for an exciting season, fueled by a strong mix of experienced leadership and emerging young talent. With a total of 27 players participating this year—and many additional underclassmen contributing to the program—the Minutemen are building both depth and a competitive culture.

Stepping outside the Comfort Zone
In 2025, 61% of youth in Missouri, ages 6-17, played on a sports team or took part in lessons, according to the Aspen Institute State of Play 2025 Report. With so many kids in sports, the question arises: What do sports mean to kids? How can sports have a positive effect on their lives? As track & field season is in full swing at Lexington High School, senior Justice McComas is one athlete who can answer that question firsthand.
Minutemen fall to Knob Noster
The Lexington Minutemen Baseball Team had a rough day as they fell 16 to 3 to Knob Noster in an MRVC road game last Thursday.
Minutemen golfers place first in quad meet
In one of their better overall performances in recent years, the Lexington Minutemen Golf Team took first place honors in a four team match last Thursday at Higginsville Country Club. Lexington was first with a 4 person team score of 183, with Holden second at 210, Knob Noster third at 220 and Higginsville fourth at 248. The Minutemen also had the top two individual performances for the 9 hole match, as Caden Murdock carded a 40, with Luke Miller coming in at 43. Wyatt Potter and Austin Dye each shot a 50, with Jace Taylor coming in at 62.

Lexington girls take first in Holden meet
The Lexington High School Girls Track Team got some good performances on a cold day, and earned first place honors in the Team Standings, at the Holden Invitational last Friday at Holden High School.

Minutemen baseball team splits home games
The Lexington Minutemen played very well and led for 6 innings, but the Van Horn Falcons exploded for 6 runs in the top of the seventh to claim a 9 to 7 comeback win a week ago Monday at Lexington Community Park.

Seven Lexington players make All State Academic Team
The Lexington Minutewomen Softball Team not only had one of the best Softball seasons in school history, but they also had 7 of their players who were named to the All State Academic Team.

Minutemen come up short in conference opener
The Lexington Minutemen Baseball Team played well overall, but the Richmond Spartans had two big innings and came away with a 6 to 1 win in the Conference opener for both teams, a week ago Tuesday in Richmond.
