Chael Lichte signs to play basketball at Missouri Valley
Chael Lichte, Lexington High School star basketball player, and distance runner, recently signed a letter of intent to play basketball next year at Missouri Valley College in Marshall.
Lexington golfers place third in MRVC East Tournament
The Lexington High School Boys Golf Team had a very respectable showing in the MRVC Conference Golf Tournament that was played on May 4, at Shirkey Golf Course in Richmond.

Six Lexington distance runners qualify for state meet
Six Lexington High School distance runners finished in the top four, in at least one event in the Sectional Track meet at Higginsville last Saturday, and they have all qualified for the Class 2 State Track and Field Meet, that will be held at Jeff City High School this coming Friday and Saturday.

Baseball regular season play winds up for area teams
This past week marked the end of regular season play for area high school Baseball teams, as most teams began District play, either at the end of last week, or the first part of this current week.
Minutemen rally comes up short as season comes to end
The Lexington Minutemen Baseball Team made a nice comeback but their rally came up a little short, as they fell to the Brookfield Bulldogs 8 to 6 in a first round District Tournament game at Carrollton last Friday.

Minutemen get nice win in final home game on Senior Day
Five Lexington Senior Baseball players, ended their home career in style, as they got a nice 3 to 0 win over Crest Ridge, in front of a large enthusiastic crowd on Senior Day, a week ago Tuesday at Lexington Community Park Hunter Meyer who pitched this game for Lexington, definitely made the most of the final home game of his high school career, as he gave up a single to the Crest Ridge leadoff hitter, but that was the only hit of the contest for the visitors, as Meyer hurled a complete game one hit shut out.
Minutemen fall in late innings to Plattsburg
In as good of a pitchers duel as you could see, the Plattsburg Tigers broke loose in the final two innings to beat the Lexington Minutemen 6 to 0 in a game a week ago Monday at Lexington Community Park.
