MoDOT accepting applications for Youth Transportation Conference
The Missouri Department of Transportation is helping build future leaders by encouraging youth to explore careers at MoDOT. The department invites students across Missouri to apply for the 2026 Youth Transportation Conference (YTC) in Jefferson City. Each year, MoDOT sponsors this event to give students the opportunity to apply STEM concepts learned in school to real-world transportation challenges.
E-filing best way for fast tax return
Jan. 26 marked the beginning of tax season as the Missouri Department of Revenue is now accepting electronically filed state returns. DOR is providing information and resources to help ensure a smooth process for everyone.

The Lexington Minutemen Boys Wrestling Team Finished fifth in the team standings, while Ayden Harned placed second, and Braxton Emerson Noah Ellison and Mason Bergsieker each placed third in their individual weight class in the Highway 13 Throwdown Tournament last Friday in Higginsville. Minutewomen win Consolation Trophy at Crest Ridge Tourney
The Lexington Girls Basketball Team picked up a couple of wins last week, and they brought home the Consolation trophy from the Cougar Classic Tournament that was played at Crest Ridge High School in Centerview.

Minutewomen win MRVC East Wrestling Championship
The Lexington Girls Wrestling Team picked up wins over both Holden and Carrollton last Thursday in dual matches in the Lexington gym on Senior Night, and they wound up 5-0 in conference matches and won their first MRVC East Conference Championship since the beginning of the program.

Soendker, Smith both run well in Half Marathon
Two Lexington High School star Cross Country and Track runners, Conner Soendker and Addison Smith, both competed very well in a Half Marathon event that was run in Naples Florida, on Saturday January 17.
