The Lexington Minutewomen Girls Cross Country Team continued their dominance, as they once again swept the top three places, and finished first in the Odessa Invitational Meet that was held last Saturday on the Odessa Cross Country Course.

TBD Excelsior Springs Girls Invitational Volleyball Tournament

The annual Lexington Volleyball Tournament was held a week ago Saturday, in both the Lexington High and Middle School Gyms. In their first pool play game, in the morning, the Minutewomen fell to Wellington-Napoleon, in two straight games by scores of 25-17 and 2520. In their second pool play match, Lexington lost two close games to Holden, by counts of 25-21 and 25-20, and then lost to Stover, 25-16 and 25-8, in their final pool play match. Mylan Huffman had a total of 8 kills in the three matches, while Ainsly Hamacher nailed 5 kills. Ella Calvert 9 assists, 5 ace serves and 10 digs, while Piper Engelbrecht had 16 digs, with Krissa Bertz and Bella Grosso contributing 10 digs.

The Lexington Minutewomen Girls Tennis Team picked up a nice MRVC East Conference win as they defeated the Holden Lady Eagles by the score of 6 to 3, in a dual match a week ago Monday in Holden. Winners for Lexington were the number 2 doubles team of Kinley Phillips and Chloe Bennett by an 8-0 count, Philipps in the number 2 singles position 8-0, and Bennett at number 4 singles 8-1. The other 3 wins were by forfeit.

The Lexington Middle School Girls and Boys Cross Country Teams made a good showing last Saturday in the Odessa Invitational Cross Country Meet on the Odessa Cross Country course.

The Minutewomen who have played a majority of their games at home so far, hit the road a week ago Tuesday, and came away with a 12 to 8 come from behind MRVC East Conference win over the Knob Noster Lady Panthers.
