LCRSP scheduled to meet April 9

Lafayette County Retired School Personnel (LCRSP) will meet on Thursday, April 9, 2026, at 2:30 p.m., at the FCS Financial Office building (4100 MO-13 BUS Hwy, Higginsville). Brigade Command Sergeant Major Retired Don Kerrick Lilleman will speak. Other agenda items include discussion of bills in the MO Legislature that could affect MO public schools and other community services and the PSRS/PEERS retirement system.

SF FFA member chosen for All-State FFA Choir

The Missouri FFA Association has selected Kaylee Drunert from Waverly MO as a 2026 State FFA Choir member. Drunert is a member of the Santa Fe FFA Chapter. Her parents are Greg Drunert and Amber Drunert. Her advisor is Martha Schreiman Drunert was one of 92 individuals chosen for the FFA All State Choir. Students rehearse and perform at the State FFA Convention in Columbia, held April 15-17, 2026. FFA members have the opportunity to share their musical talent in front of a crowd of over 9,000 FFA members and guests on Friday afternoon April 17.

CCMH receives excellence award

Carroll County Memorial Hospital’s Outpatient Rehabilitation Services department has been named a 2025 Human Experience (HX) Guardian of Excellence Award winner by Press Ganey, the global leaders in healthcare experience solutions and services. This award is part of Press Ganey’s annual ranking of the top hospitals and health systems in the country, according to performance in Outpatient Rehabilitation patient experience.

Fitzgibbon Health Fair planned for April 24

Pre-registration is now open for Fitzgibbon Hospital's annual Health Fair. The event will be held on Friday, April 24, from 7 - 10 a.m. at Fitzgibbon Hospital (2305 S. Hwy 65, Marshall). To save time, guests can register online at www.fitzgibbon. org/fair. Pre-registrations will be accepted until Sunday, April 19. Pre-registration is not required to participate. Free services/screenings planned for the event include: • Skin cancer screenings (exposed skin only) provided by Boone Hospital. Please wear shorts and loose clothing, no makeup, keep hair loose and make note of any spots of concern to point out during the exam. • Osteoporosis screening with Miles Romney, P.A.
