Carrollton man charged for murder of his grandmother
At the request of the Carrollton, MO Police Department, the Missouri State Highway Patrol’s Division of Drug and Crime Control is investigating a homicide which occurred on Wednesday, April 22, 2026.
County’s public GIS System updated to include 2026 aerial photography
The Lafayette County Assessor’s Office is pleased to announce that the county’s public Geographic Information System (GIS) has been updated to include new aerial photography captured in 2026.

Application period for LRHC Auxiliary scholarship open until June 1
The Lafayette Regional Health Center Auxiliary is offering $1,000 scholarships to worthy students. Applicants must have completed at least one year of post secondary education and must be within one year of completion of the post-secondary human health-related program for which they are enrolled. Applicants must be a United States citizen and preference will be given to Lafayette County, Mo., residents.
DNR awards $50,000 grant to Waverly
The Missouri Department of Natural Resources has awarded a $50,000 Clean Water Engineering Report Grant to the city of Waverly to evaluate the city’s wastewater system.
