MVC fall 2025, spring 2026 Dean’s Lists
Dr. Cynthia Bice, Vice President of Academic Affairs at Missouri Valley College, announced that 660 students earned Dean’s List recognition for the Fall 2025 semester. The Dean’s List is composed of all full-time students who have a semester grade point average of 3.3 or higher and no “D” “F” or “Incomplete” grades for the semester.

UCM announces spring graduates
Area residents were among approximately 1,700 individuals who met graduate and undergraduate degree requirements and were eligible to participate in the University of Central Missouri’s (UCM) Spring 2026 Commencement exercises on Friday, May 8 and Saturday, May 9 in the Jerry M. Hughes Athletics Center.
State Tech Dean’s List
A big State Tech congrats to the following local student for making the Dean’s List for the spring of 2026. To be placed on the Dean’s List, a full-time student must earn a semester grade point average between 3.5 and 4.0 on a 4-point scale.
Santa Fe R-10 Foundation: Providing for present & future support
The Santa Fe R-10 Foundation, Inc. was incorporated as a Missouri non-for-profit corporation on May 10, 1994. The Foundation is governed by a nine member board of directors. One board member represents the District Board of Education and one represents District administration. The other board members are comprised of private citizens residing in the District. Current board members presiding are: Howard Dieckhoff, President; Deana Aversman, Vice President; Dennis Rolf, Secretary/ Treasurer; Merle Dierking, Lisa Nevels, Mike Knipmeyer, Randy Sleeper, and Amy Tracy. Since its inception, the Foundation has grown significantly and currently serves as an independent funding source for eighteen scholarships. In addition to providing academic scholarships to students and graduates of the District, the Foundation’s goals are to provide high-quality education by purchasing equipment and supplies which cannot be readily acquired with District funds, and to establish an endowment fund for long-term support of the District.


Santa Fe FFA receives Shaping Rural Missouri Grant
Eighty-six Missouri 4-H clubs and FFA chapters received $500 Shaping Rural Missouri Grants from FCS Financial for community improvement projects this summer. These youth-led projects include landscaping fairgrounds, building community gardens, improving accessibility at local parks, and renovating fair facilities.

Waverly Masonic Lodge awards scholarships
The Waverly Masonic Lodge #61 established a scholarship in 201718 to assist graduating seniors in the Santa Fe R-X School District. Eligible applicants must enroll in a post-secondary institution for the fall period immediately following graduation, which includes any university or college, community college, trade school, or other certification program. Selection of the scholarship is based on scholastic performance, aptitude, and financial need.
Columbia College announces Dean’s List
On May 13, Columbia College announced its Dean’s List for the spring 2026 semester (January-May 2026). To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must have completed 12 undergraduate credit hours in a 16-week period and achieved a minimum GPA of 3.5 on a 4.0-point scale.
