This info is courtesy of the Youth Wrestling Board: ‘On January 17th & 18th, the Higginsville Youth Wrestling Club took 16 wrestlers to the Rookie & 6U State Folkstyle Tournament in Springfield, Missouri! Those that competed in this tournament were: Wyleigh Ratliff, Braelynn Bristow, Lawson Kirchhoff, Judson Beckman, Michael Lettau, Kaylee Woodruff, David Moss, Steven Birkett, Ephraim Thurmon, Colten Woodruff, Kamryn Schmidt, Gideon Anderson, Piper Anderson, Matthew Hughes, Krayzden Ratliff, and Jaxon Nevels. Lawson Kirchhoff brought home a 3rd place finish, Kaylee Woodruff brought home a 5th place finish, David Moss brought home a 4th place finish, Steven Birkett brought home a 2nd place finish, Ephraim Thurmon brought home a 3rd place finish, Piper Anderson brought home a 2nd place finish.

On March 12th-15 th, the Higginsville Youth Wrestling Club took 7 wrestlers to the Missouri USA Wrestling Folkstyle Championships in Springfield, Missouri. For those to qualify, they had to compete at the local district tournament in Marshall, MO and the top 4 placers moved on to the next round. Those that qualified for state were: Jude Thaller, Maxon Petersen, Maxon Jeske, Kaylee Woodruff, Matthew Hughes, Leah Schloman, Dakota Hughes, and Maeleigh Chrisco, who brought home a 2nd place finish. We also want to send a shoutout to a few hometown wrestlers who placed at State! Miley Oberg 1 st place, Marley Plymell 1st place, and Mason Oberg 6th place.’
