On Thursday April 30th, Lafayette County C-1 HS held its Spring Concert, Directed by Mrs. Sarah Cook, and Mrs. Kelly Reuther. This was the last Concert that Mrs. Reuther will be directing at Lafayette County C-1, as she recently accepted a position as a Band Director for their Concert Band, Jazz Band, and Pep Band. She will as well be teaching Applied Lessons, and Music History. She grew the High Schools Band Program greatly after entering the position in 2014. From less than 20, to now over 50 students, she guided students in wonderful musical instruction. One of her most notable accomplishments, was taking the High School band to the Missouri Music Educators Association Conference in 2020, right before the COVID-19 Lockdowns took place. She will be greatly missed at Lafayette County C-1 High School, and we look forward to hearing about her accomplishments at State Fair Community College.
