WARRENSBURG, MO – Doug Christie, of Higginsville, has received a Certificate of Appreciation for his exceptional service to Operation Ancestor Search (OAS).

OAS is a free, national genealogy training program designed for wounded warriors and their families. Sponsored by the Sons of the American Revolution (SAR), the initiative teaches participants how to research their family histories as they recover at military hospitals and VA medical facilities nationwide.

The program is entirely volunteer-driven, operating through SAR’s state societies and local chapters.

OAS provides all training and resources completely free of charge, focusing solely on participant recovery rather than organizational recruitment.
