Inside John Knox Village East: On Sunday July 5 th , we enjoyed church services followed by a lunch of Ham Steak with Pineapple, Mashed Potatoes and Gravy, Country Green Beans with Bacon & Onion, Beef Vegetable Soup, Salad Bar and Dessert. We also hosted an Ice Cream Social in the evening. On Monday the 6 th , we went shopping and played Bridge in the evening. The Lutheran Church also provided communion in the Gathering Room. On Tuesday the 7 th , we hosted a Welcome for New Residents and held our Baking Club and Card Club in the Gathering Room. On Wednesday the 8 th , we went to Gari’s Diner in Slater for lunch, played games and participated in the World Reading of The Declaration of Independence in the Friendship Lounge with Refreshments served afterwards. On Thursday July 9 th , we enjoyed Chill ‘n’ Chat and playing Dirty Board and Cards. We also got our nails done, received communion from the St. Mary’s Catholic Church and our Walking and Exercise Clubs convened. On Friday the 10 th , we played Dominoes and our Movie Club met. We also held an Ice Cream Social in the Gathering Room.
